The Client
While the majority of the work I do is grounded in theatre, lighting is everywhere in our lives. Whether it be needing something drafted or needing a creative partner on a project, let's do it!
The Why
Design matters to me. Details matter to me. A teacher once told me Design is not Art. Design is about making the correct decision. Maybe when all the people in the room have finished and all the work is combined, maybe then it is art.
Wheeler found his home as a New York based designer after growing up doing theatre in Tennessee. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Lighting Design and Technology at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. His work has been seen everywhere from New York to Miami to Las Vegas. Wheeler’s passion for theatrical design can be seen in his work as a designer and associate at multiple regional theaters, national tours, and new works in New York. He has worked on projects from circus to corporate shows to theatrical consulting to political campaigns. Wheeler is interested in finding new ways lighting can be incorporated into the entire entertainment industry. Most importantly, he wouldn’t have a career if it wasn’t for the artists and mentors that continue to influence him in every decision he makes. Wheeler is a proud member of United Scenic Artists 829.
